IMO-certified fabrics for the Cruise Industry
The cruise industry has particularly high safety requirements - including for textiles. Fabrics used on board cruise ships, ferries or yachts must therefore pass special international fire safety tests. IMO (International Maritime Organisation) certification plays a key role in this.
IMO-certified fabrics fulfil strict requirements in terms of their fire behaviour. They are flame-retardant, produce only limited smoke in the event of a fire and help to significantly slow down the spread of fire. In use, this means maximum safety for passengers and crew - and compliance with international regulations for shipbuilding and equipment. In addition to the safety aspect, these textiles offer further advantages: they combine tested functionality with sophisticated design, high durability and ease of care. This results in textile solutions that not only withstand the special conditions at sea, but also create a high-quality and comfortable atmosphere on board.
