Innovations and their benefits

What social developments are currently having a major impact on Delius brand products?
The most important issues for us in product management at the moment are sustainability and hygiene. Both topics are becoming more and more important and are being incorporated into our product development to a large extent.
It has always been very important for the product orientation of Delius to be the first to deal with innovations and their social benefits at an early stage, if possible. Our Deligard fabrics, Delitherm fabrics and our blackout innovation "Soft" are examples of how important it has always been for us to add special functions to fabrics in order to meet changing social demands. Which of your personal skills benefit you here at Delius on a daily basis?
The fact that I worked in contract sales at Delius for many years before taking on my purchasing and product management responsibilities is a great advantage in my job. As a result, I am very familiar with customer requirements and the special features of the contract market. Of course, I also benefit from my technical understanding of textiles. We deal with very complex products with a wide variety of production stages on a daily basis. A certain level of textile know-how is essential.

What do you do to convince colleagues of a product change?
Before developing a product, I always ask myself the same questions, such as: What must the new product be able to do? Which target group do we want to address and what are the requirements of this target group? Which target markets do we have? What are the sales expectations and what is the possible unique selling point?  Ultimately, we weigh up the opportunities and risks of a product development, whereby  a presentation of a new product idea with good arguments and documented with figures is usually convincing.

Thank you,
