What fascinates you about textiles?

What fascinates me about textiles is that they are far more than just fabrics. Each material has its own history, individual properties and opens up unique possibilities - whether it is pleasantly soft and skin-friendly or a high-tech fibre with impressive functions. I find the combination of tradition and innovation particularly exciting: on the one hand, classic craftsmanship with its durability, and on the other, modern developments such as sustainable or intelligent textiles that open up completely new perspectives. 

What makes Delius special for you?

The long-standing tradition and consistency of a family business that is now being run by the ninth generation are not only a sign of great textile expertise for me, but also an expression of passion and dedication. The close relationship with our customers and complete control over the value chain enables Delius to react flexibly and quickly to new market requirements. In the contract business, Delius places particular emphasis on functionality, sustainability and innovation - characteristics that are a matter of course for Delius and which Delius offers as a manufacturer with the highest quality and expertise. That's what makes Delius special for me!

What skills do you think you can bring to Delius?

With my great passion for the weaving trade and the market knowledge I have gained over many years, I would like to contribute to not only maintaining existing customer relationships, but also deepening them in the long term. At the same time, I am excited by the prospect of acquiring new customers and supporting them with my expertise, empathy and professional advice. My goal is always to achieve healthy and long-term sustainable growth together. I also see my strengths in the continuous development of internal processes. Thanks to my experience, I can provide impetus that both promotes innovation and supports a culture of sales excellence. In this way, I not only want to enrich the daily processes, but also actively contribute to ensuring that Delius can shape its future successfully and sustainably.

Have you already found a favourite material at Delius? 

During my time at Delius so far, I have been particularly inspired by the blackout Switch. The so-called sandwich blackout impresses with its special construction, which gives it a distinctly textile feel. Added to this is its exceptionally soft feel, which makes it a special product not only in terms of functionality, but also in terms of feel.

Which product category do you like best?

I am particularly enthusiastic about the acoustic fabric category as it fulfils an extremely important function in the modern office environment. In open-plan working environments, meeting zones or creative spaces, room acoustics play a decisive role in well-being, concentration and communication. This is where acoustic fabrics can make a noticeable difference. Of particular interest here is the possibility of optimising the reverberation in a room retrospectively. Acoustic improvement can be realised quickly, effectively and cost-efficiently via the window surfaces - without the need for costly structural measures. Acoustic fabrics therefore combine several advantages: they not only increase the functionality of a room, but also contribute to a more pleasant atmosphere and higher productivity.
