De Montel is Milan's first urban thermal spa.
It is the result of a major architectural renovation project that has transformed the historic Liberty stables into an oasis of wellness and beauty with 16,000 square metres of thermal pools, saunas, rituals, relaxation areas and a park in the San Siro district.
The project was implemented by the architectural firm thdp. Architect Manuela Mannino was commissioned to design the interiors of the Scuderie de Montel: le Terme di Milano. The design is inspired by water in all its forms and the original Art Nouveau building, which was built specifically for horse training stables. The area is strategically located west of Milan, next to the San Siro stadium, and will include a large park within the thermal baths.
