Fabrics for Marine

Segments

Marine

For marine, particularly high demands are placed on the materials to be used. This also applies to the textiles that design the rooms and offer guests a cozy ambience.

Great importance is placed on the materials used, especially in terms of sustainability and function. Design requirements and ambience are part of the process and must leave an unforgettable impression and create a good feeling.

Safety plays an important role, which is why the decorative and upholstery fabrics must pass special flame retardancy tests developed for the shipping industry (IMO Res. A471 (XII), IMO Res. A652 (16).

High light fastness is particularly important for curtains, as solar radiation is much stronger than on land due to the reflection of the sea surface. Fabrics that are used outdoors must be able to withstand extreme solar radiation, seawater and possibly even chlorinated water.
